About Syougetsu
Greetings
Opened on December 4, 2004 at Lake Yamanaka at the foot of Mt Fuji.
Shougetsu offers kaiseki cuisine (based on the spirit of the Cha-no-yu) and kaiseki cuisine (to enjoy Japanese sake with a meal in the same style as the traditional Japanese meal) to those who love Japanese culture, art, and delicious food throughout the four seasons of Japan, with the idea of “once in a lifetime hospitality” in mind.
we are proud to be located at the foot of Mount Fuji, the largest mountain in Japan.
Also, we are committed to introducing Japanese culture (Japanese gardens, tableware, cuisine, flowers, calligraphy, sukiya architecture, Cha, and Zen) to the world.
We have a theme for each month and prepare a menu based on the traditional Japanese seasonal calendar.
For example, February is Setsubun, June is Himuro-no-Sekkai, and September is Kiku-Shukou, etc.
We have various seasonal dishes for each season, so you will be able to fully enjoy them if you come to our restaurant.
Natural eel, torafugu (blowfish), matsutake mushrooms, and other ingredients are also available.
Thanks to your support, Lake Yamanakako Shougetsu is now in its 20th year.
We look forward to meeting you all and welcoming you with the spirit of “once in a lifetime hospitality”.
We look forward to serving you for many years to come.
